What are the different style of vapes, and what do they mean?

In the vaping universe, you will come across a range of new jargon, vaping styles, devices and flavours. With so much to take on board, it's super easy to get confused when beginning. Choosing the right vape from the get go will make the switch from cigarettes a much easier process if you know the basics. Read on as we discuss the different styles of vapes and their applications.

The best Vape starter kits for beginners

E-cigarettes

As the name suggests an e-cigarette is a vaping device that emulates the mouth to lung draw (MTL), feel and taste of a cigarette. They come in a varying range of sizes shapes with either disposable pods, or a complete disposable unit. These units are normally stealth and are the perfect option if you're looking to make the switch from cigarettes and still remain discreet.

Vape Pens

Like E-cigarettes, vape pens emulate the mouth to lung draw of a cigarette, they are compact enough to easily fit into your hand but are large enough to include a separate tank and battery unit. Vape pens give users the option of being able to refill the tank with Nicotine e-liquid resulting in an endless range of flavours and nicotine strengths that can be used, however, the tanks will either need to be replaced or rebuilt with new coils every so often to keep the device serviced.

Intermediate vape styles

There is a range of differences between starter vapes, and more intermediate vape kits. Intermediate type of vapes contain a much larger battery with more power, resulting in higher wattage, better battery life and much, much bigger vape clouds than starter kits.

Box mods

Box mods or regulated mods are as the name suggest customisable vapes within a safety limit that includes a bigger battery, rebuildable, or replaceable tanks that are either a variety of a mouth to lung or direct lung sub-ohm tank. They have variable wattage or temperature control and include replaceable batteries.

Advanced Vape Kits

Advanced vape kits include a fully rebuildable experience, each device can be fine-tuned to deliver the exact level of power and customizability that the user requires, batteries can be changed to increase wattage delivery and the tanks are interchangeable.

There is a range of different styles of advanced vapes from regulated box mods, mechanical mods and squonk mods the depth of information and customisation is vast therefore it's advisable that you have an in-depth knowledge of vapes before attempting to use one of these devices. Nicotine e-liquid

E-liquid is a combustible liquid that releases a vapour when heated. E-liquid can come in a range of different flavours and nicotine levels. The composition of e-liquid is a mixture of water, food-grade flavourings, a range of nicotine levels starting from zero, and propylene glycol (PG) or vegetable glycerin (VG).

What nicotine level do I use?

Choosing what nicotine level to use in your vape really depends on how many cigarettes you were smoking per day. We have made an easy to follow guide that will give you an idea of where to start based off what your cigarette intake used to be.

Choosing the strength of your nicotine really will depend on your individual needs, heavy smokers normally will choose higher concentrations, whereas casual smokers will choose a lower nicotine level. At VAPO we recommend that you initially choose a few different strengths to find out what will work for you.
