The RIFT Pro Pod Kit is priced at $49.00 and offers enhanced performance features, though note that the Pro is currently sold out. Both devices use RIFT-compatible replacement pods. The Pro is the better choice for vapers who want more output or longer session capacity, while the standard RIFT suits everyday, portable use.

To refill a RIFT pod, remove it from the device and locate the fill port - typically a silicone-sealed opening on the side or base of the pod. Use a bottle with a fine nozzle tip to insert your chosen e-liquid directly into the fill port, being careful not to overfill. Reseal the port firmly, reattach the pod to the device, and wait two to three minutes before vaping to allow the coil to fully saturate. Avoid drawing on the pod dry, as this can burn the coil and affect flavour quality.

The RIFT is compatible with most standard e-liquids, including both freebase nicotine and nicotine salt formulations. However, the coil resistance and airflow of RIFT pods are optimised for a mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw, which generally works best with higher-nicotine, lower-VG liquids such as 50/50 or high-PG blends. Using high-VG liquids designed for sub-ohm devices may result in reduced flavour and wicking issues. If purchasing e-liquid separately, look for liquids marketed as MTL or pod-compatible for best results.

An open pod system uses refillable pods that you fill yourself with separate e-liquid, giving you control over both the e-liquid brand and nicotine strength. A closed pod system, by contrast, uses pre-filled pods sealed at manufacture - such as VAPO's solo, alt., Bud, or VEX ranges. Open systems like the RIFT offer more variety and are often more economical for regular vapers who consume higher volumes of e-liquid, while closed systems offer greater convenience and consistency in flavour and nicotine delivery.
